- Amareleja Solar Park
When ACCIONA connected the solar park at Amareleja (Portugal) to the grid in 2008, it had already successfully overcome the challenge of building the greatest photovoltaic installation to date, in a record time of 13 months. This was a real feat, proving the company's technological capacity.
ACCIONA broke new ground when it built the 45.78-MWp Amareleja photovoltaic plant, one of the world's largest at the time to be equipped with tracking throughout the solar park.
Built in a record time of 13 months and connected to the grid in December 2008, this plant demonstrates ACCIONA's capacity to successfully carry out major PV solar plant projects.
It has 2,520 proprietary-technology solar trackers, incorporating a total of 262,080 photovoltaic modules. These give the plant a production of some 93 GWh a year, equivalent to the demand of 30,000 homes.
The Kerang Solar Farm is proposed on the outskirts of Kerang in the Gannawarra Shire of Northern Victoria.
ACCIONA partnered with FRV to provide engineering, construction and operational services on the Royalla Solar Farm project, a project that delivers clean, renewable energy to the Canberra region.
