The “Ebro Bridge” is a greenfield project valued at 72.7 million for the construction and maintenance of the ARA-A1 Highway that runs between the towns of Villafranca and Burgo de Ebro, connecting the N-II, AP-2 and N-232 highways.
The project was acquired and delivered as a public-private partnership, with a shadow toll payment model. The scope included the design, construction, financing, operations and maintenance of the section of the highway for a period of 30 years.
The project has been in operation since the completion of construction in 2008, and will be returned to the Government in 2036.
The design was for a new highway running from the N-II Highway between the towns of Villafranca de Ebro and Nuez de Ebro, up to the N-232 Highway at its junction with the A-222 in Burgo de Ebro.
It has three junctions: with the N-II, with the AP-2, and with the N-232 and the A-222. It includes two viaducts over the River Ebro.
